2018 TESDA Idol Rodalyn P. Mamaril is the center of TESDA Cagayan’s entry to TESDA DOS Short Film Festival.
Roda came from a poor family in Pamplona, Cagayan. With a farmer for a father and laundrywoman mother. Life was not easy; with her resolve to have and education, she left her family and lived with relatives who could support her going to school and had to work at and early age in exchange for the provisions she received.
She took up TVET courses along Tourism to add value to the Associate in Hotel and Restaurant Management she finished in college as working student until she landed a job at Kusina Cagayana as a waiter and later as Processing Officer at Cagayan Proficiency Training Center.
With perseverance, she became a trainer and an assessor for various qualifications and with her earnings, she was able to support her family.
Truly, Roda is an Idol (LODI) in every aspect of the word, she epitomized the meaning of resiliency.
